DEVICE FOR MEASURING THE ELASTICITY OF RED BLOOD CORPUSCLES (ERYTHROCYTES)

When injecting red blood corpuscles it is important to know their elasticity since they can alter from an elastic to a substantially rigid state. The present invention allows it to be ascertained whether the elasticity fulfils the requirements stipulated. For this purpose two rectangular, flat plates (4 and 5) are used, pivotably joined at one end and located at a distance from a support surface (3), the other end of the lower plate (4) abutting a support surface (3). A bag (12) containing red blood corpuscles is placed between the two plates (4 and 5) and the upper plate (5) subjected to pressure while the angle between the plates is measured.
