A portable storage medium for digital picture data comprises a storage unit for storing data, a first communication interface being adapted to exchange data with a display, a first encoding unit for encoding stored digital picture data in a first data format which can be processed by the display, a second communication interface being adapted to exchange data with a printer, a second encoding unit for encoding stored digital picture data in a second data format which can be processed by the printer, a third communication interface being adapted to exchange data with another storage device, and a fourth communication interface being adapted to exchange data with a computer.
