<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception level measuring instrument for performing measurement with a small arithmetic amount and a small circuit scale. <P>SOLUTION: A difference is generated in an average value calculating part 105c when the part 105c calculates the average value of average reception levels in a time interval N expressed by a logarithm for a plurality of samples in a time interval M by the logarithm as it is. As means for correcting the difference, the instrument includes: a correction value calculating part 105f for calculating a correction value to correct the difference; and a correction part 105g for correcting the average value calculation result of the average value calculating part 105c, for the portion of the correction value calculated by the correction value calculating part 105f. Thus, a whole arithmetic form in a control processor 105 is expressed by the logarithm, and the arithmetic amount is reduced.
