PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video image display system for recognizing the content of video image easily in a short time. SOLUTION: The video image display system includes: an object processing section 30 for recognizing a term, in which the same object is reflected over two or more image frames, as one image term unit, correlating the same object in series as one object, which has been reflected in the video image term unit, with the video image term unit, and extracting the feature of the object as meta-data; and a representative image processing section 50 for extracting, as a representative image base of the video image term unit, at least one image frame, which satisfies a prescribed standard out of image data accumulated in a video image storage section 20, for each video image term unit based on the meta-data, processing the representative image base so as to emphasize the object in correlation with the video image term unit, and generating a representative image for the video image term unit.
