A stackable Advent calender has 24 individual parts held together as an assembly by two upright metal rods (3) resting on a wood base (4). The 24 individual parts (2) each incorporate small apertures through which the metal rods are inserted. The material making up the individual parts is rigid enough to be self-supporting without the rods.
