A method and an apparatus for processing information are provided to exactly discern a genuine objective viewpoint indicator from an image including objective viewpoint indicator candidates. An image input member(160) receives an image produced by an imaging device(130) and also receives the image produced by an objective viewpoint camera(180). The objective viewpoint camera is fixedly arranged at the predetermined position and photographs an objective viewpoint index(P) on the imaging device. A data memorizing member(170) stores the position-related information of the objective viewpoint camera. The image input member converts the subjective and objection viewpoint images into digital data.
