A sports training method is described that comprises the following steps: classification of the movements of dribbling and control of the ball/hockey puck as predefined modular movements in accordance with the sensomotor and technical skills developed; evaluation of the athlete's skill level in terms of dribbling and control of the ball/hockey puck in a specific sport; telling the athlete the information connected with the predefined movements in accordance with the level of skill diagnosed; development of the technical skill of dribbling and of key sensomotor abilities; development of the skill in the athlete to innovate new dribbling sequences; implementing the predefined movement sequences individually and/or in the form of group dynamics; monitoring and evaluation of the athlete's performance in terms of his/her skill in performing the predefined movements and in devising new movements; and updating of the knowledge base so that the sports training method never becomes obsolete in the process of developing the athlete. A sports training system is also described, which consists of the means for classifying the various movements of dribbling and control of the ball/hockey puck in predefined movement sequences of modular structure in accordance with the technical skills and sensomotor abilities developed in the athlete; means for indicating the positioning of the feet and of the ball/hockey puck; means for developing specific sports skills connected with dribbling and control of the ball/hockey puck and, simultaneously, the sensomotor abilities required for practising sport, such as balance, precision, flexibility, speed and strength; means for developing a sense of rhythm; means for providing the athlete with information on the predefined movements he/she is to perform; means for rehabilitation after sports injuries; and means for updating the knowledge base of the sports training system. |
