<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the flatness of a fuel cell separator as desired. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell separator is manufactured by compression-forming a mixed powder material 9 kneading carbon powder and thermosetting resin powder in a prescribed shape by an upper die 13 and a lower die 11, and by kneading them to a curing temperature. After heating and curing, the separator taken out of the die is made to radiate heat mounted on a cooling and transfer jig, and, a heating temperature to the lower die 11 corresponding to the lower side contacting the cooling and transfer jig is established higher than a heating temperature to the upper die 13 corresponding to the upper side which radiates heat by air. Thereby, the separator has an almost equal integrated value of the curing temperature (curing progress) from heating to cooling at both the upper and the lower sides, and a shrinkage amount is also equal at both the upper and the lower sides, thereby preventing warping, and the flatness can be secured as desired. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
