PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly restore a vehicle speed after a vehicle passes a prescribed section when the vehicle speed is changed as the vehicle enters the prescribed section. SOLUTION: This traveling control system comprises a road side communication terminal 32 installed beside the road and a vehicle 31 on which an ACC system 1 is loaded. A traveling control ECU 2 of the system is provided with: a traveling speed setting part 21 for setting a set vehicle speed for ACC traveling control; a traveling speed changing part 22 for changing the set vehicle speed in an ISA area to the restriction speed of the ISA area when the vehicle enters the ISA section; and a traveling speed resetting part 23 for, when a resetting reservation operation is carried out while the vehicle is traveling in the ISA area, resetting the set vehicle speed to the vehicle speed set by the traveling speed setting part 21 after the vehicle passes the ISA area.
