METHOD, SYSTEM AND TERMINAL FOR SETTING UP INITIAL MODE FOR NAVIGATION SERVICE

An initial mode setting method for setting up one of a GPS position determining mode and an indoor position determining mode as an initial mode of a navigation service, a navigation system therefor and a terminal are provided to offer the navigation service by using indoor beacon signal. A GPS position determining server(110) performs the GPS determination by using the GPS signal. An indoor position determining server(120) performs the indoor determination by using the indoor beacon signal. An application server(130) receives the service request message. A terminal(100) transmits the service request message to the application server. The GPS signal and indoor beacon signal are searched. The search result the GPS determination mode or the indoor determination throughout one is determined with the basis with the initial mode. According to the determined initial mode, it operates with the GPS location server or the indoor location server and location is position-measured.
