摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical control apparatus and an optical control method, in each of which the diffracted light having a prescribed order can be controlled to be the desired one when the diffracted light is made incident on an object. SOLUTION: The optical control apparatus 1 includes: a laser light source 10; a phase modulating type spatial light modulator 20; a light collecting optical system 30; and a light shielding member 40. When such a position is a position A that the diffracted light, which is output from the spatial light modulator 20 and has the prescribed order, is collected by the light collecting optical system 30, such a position is a position B that the diffracted light, which is output from the spatial light modulator 20 and has another order, is collected by the light collecting optical system 30 and such a position is a position C that the 0-order light, which is output from the spatial light modulator 20, is collected by the light collecting optical system 30, a control part 22 shows a hologram to the spatial light modulator 20, so that a distance between the position A and the position B is made longer than that between the position A and the position C, and the intensity of the diffracted light having another order is made higher than that of the 0-order light to adjust the intensity of the diffracted light having the prescribed order.
