A method for blocking a dark current in a battery management system and a device thereof are disclosed. According to an embodiment, a battery control device comprises: a voltage regulator configured to regulate a voltage of driving power supplied from a power supplier and provide the driving power to a processor; a first switch located between the power supplier and the voltage regulator and configured to switch on and off a connection between the power supplier and the voltage regulator; and a second switch configured to control the first switch based on an input of a driving signal to operate the processor.
