Brewed Beverages and Methods for Producing Same

Methods for producing brewed beverages include brewing the beverage, degassing the beverage prior to storing the beverage in a sealed container, and freezing the beverage. A frozen brewed beverage is configured to be reheated prior to consumption and does not require reconstituting. A brewed beverage is in a sealed container, has a dissolved oxygen content less than about 2 ppm, is configured to be reheated prior to consumption, and does not require reconstituting.

1. A process for producing brewed beverages comprising:
brewing a beverage to produce a brewed beverage in liquid state having a reduced dissolved oxygen content of 2 ppm or less; storing the brewed beverage with a reduced dissolved oxygen content of 2 ppm or less in an oxygen permeable container; and freezing the brewed beverage in the oxygen permeable container while the brewed beverage has the dissolved oxygen level of 2 ppm or less upon freezing, wherein the frozen brewed beverage forms an oxygen barrier that limits the ingress of oxygen into the frozen brewed beverage and maintains the reduced dissolved oxygen content of 2 ppm or less for a period of up to one year while frozen and stored in the oxygen permeable container.
