A method and device for establishing category mappings between characteristic keywords and categories as well as category mappings between categories. The method for establishing category mappings between characteristic keywords and categories comprises: acquiring characteristic keywords, and using the characteristic keywords to acquire targets matching with the keywords and operation behavior data of operation on the targets (S11); determining the category of each target matching with the characteristic keywords (S12); calculating, according to the operation behavior data of the targets, the category value of the category that each target belongs to (S13); and determining the correspondences between the characteristic keywords and the categories, of which the category values satisfy a preset condition, as category mappings between the characteristic keywords and the categories (S14). Therefore, the accuracy of the category mappings can be improved.
