The objective of the invention is to provide a switch mechanism of a toy, and a shape-changing toy employing the same, in which a switch portion which causes the toy to change shape is underneath the toy main body, and cannot be seen readily by a counterpart, and in which the structure of the switch portion is rich in variation and increases the amusement of the game, and with which the changes in the shape of the toy after the switch portion has been impacted also take the user by surprise. The invention provides a switch mechanism of a toy and a shape-changing toy employing the same, the switch mechanism comprising: a base unit comprising a bottom plate and an upper plate formed integrally with the bottom plate; and a switch portion which is attached rotatably in a horizontal direction between the bottom plate and the upper plate, and which comprises a rotating body disposed at the periphery of the bottom plate, and an engagement claw which is formed integrally with the rotating body, above the rotating body. The rotating body is formed from one or more actuating claws, one side of which comprises a gently sloping surface, and the other side of which comprises a steeply sloping surface. |
