1. A method, comprising:
at a server system having one or more processors and memory storing one or more programs executed by the one or more processors, performing the operations of: generating, for each of a plurality of user accounts, an index of content items associated with each user account; wherein each user account, of the plurality of user accounts, is associated with one or more content item namespaces and one or more user computers; sending each index, of the generated indexes, to at least one user computer, of the one or more user computers, associated with the user account for which the each index is generated; detecting a plurality of changes to a plurality of content items, wherein the plurality of changes include more than one change to one content item of the plurality of content items, each content item of the plurality of content items associated with one or more user accounts of the plurality of user accounts; for each detected change to a content item of the plurality of changes detected, determining a particular content item namespace to which the changed content item belongs; and sending at least one of one or more tokens to use to index the changed content item or one or more tokens not to use to index the changed content item to at least one user computer, of the one or more user computers, associated with each user account, of the plurality of user accounts, associated with the particular content item namespace to which the changed content item belongs. |
