The present invention relates to a method of producing an anion-exchange resin, and a capacitive deionization method using the anion-exchange resin produced thereby. More specifically, the method of producing an anion-exchange resin comprises the following steps: (A) reacting polyetherimide with chloromethyl methyl ether in the existence of a catalyst to obtain chloride-based polyetherimide; and (B) reacting the chloride-based polyetherimide with an amine compound to obtain aminated-polyetherimide. Thus, the method of producing the anion-exchange resin has effects of: facilitating the production of the anion-exchange resin; and enhancing desalination rates when the resin produced thereby is applied to an electrode and used in the capacitive deionization method.
