The present invention relates to a heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) control system interlocked with weather information and an audio, video and navigation (AVN) unit, and a control method thereof, capable of efficiently operating an HVAC unit in an early ignition stage of a vehicle according to weather information when the ignition of the vehicle is turned on. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the system comprises: an HVAC unit to measure the temperature inside and outside a vehicle, and adjust the temperature inside the vehicle and a blowing level; an AVN unit to receive a weather information signal of an area, where the vehicle is located, from a weather information providing server through a communication unit; and a control unit to operate the HVAC unit in a defrost mode when the weather information received from the weather information providing server through the AVN unit is a frosty condition. |
