A tube extrusion machine comprises a barrel, a rotatable hollow screw 1, a fixed rod 7 passing through and extending beyond the screw 1 and carrying a fixed mandrel 3 and, rotatably mounted in bearings 9, 10 in the screw 1 and mandrel 3, a rotatable conical homogenising member 2 disposed between the screw 1 and mandrel 3 and within a conical part 4 of the barrel and arranged to rotate in either direction and at the same or different speeds as the screw.
