The simplified claw drive for the cine equipment has a main cam (6) rotating at a constant speed to operate on the claw arm for the reciprocal movement to drive the film. The slopes on the cam represent a set drive speed in one direction, a dwell time, and a set drive speed in the other direction. The claw movement normal to the film is controlled by a second cam (13) at right angles to the claw lever. The second cam also rotates at a set speed, coupled to the motor, with the lateral movement of the claw lever determined by a sensor (10) running on one of the cams of the second cam wheel, for forward or reverse drive.
|
