The audio signals are divided into segments of which the period corresponds to that of segments of related video signals. In addition to the audio data of the effective video signal segment, each audio signal segment comprises part of the audio data of the segments of the preceding and following video signals. With a view to the recording or transforming thereof, the audio signal segments are subjected to a temporary compaction on the length of the segments of the video signals. During the reproduction and the cutting, the audio signals may undergo a gradual change as a consequence of the overlapping. |
