CRYSTALLINE 3-METHACRYLOYLOXY-2-HYDROXYPROPYL- TRIMETHYLAMMONIUM CHLORIDE MONOMER The present invention provides a mixture of 3-methacryloyloxy-2-hydroxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride monomer and its isomer having a particle crystalline size of greater than about 40 microns. The crystalline monomers are directly prepared without an intervening recrystallization step. The monomers are useful in the preparation of water soluble polymers having antistatic, flocculation and water treatment properties.
