A fastening means made of bioresorbable material, in particular a bone nail (1), a bone screw or a bone plate for fixation of bone fragments, has at least one closed receiving area (12), which is filled with an X-ray contrast medium (13). The receiving area (12) is a cylindrical bore which is provided in the bone of the bone nail (1) and which is closed with a plug (15) welded to the head (9). The contrast medium (13) is preferably dissolved, liquid or pulverulent barium sulphate. From the nature of the contrast medium (13), its concentration, the nature of the bioresorbable material and its outer wall thickness, it is possible to predetermine the period of time during which the contrast medium slowly diffuses through the walls of the receiving area, parallel to the disintegration of the fastening means (1), such that the process of healing of a bone in a patient can be monitored in a simple manner. <IMAGE> |
