PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer recording medium capable of obtaining a printing image enhanced in reliability and prevented from the detachment of an ink layer at low temp. by providing an ink layer based on a colorant, an oxirane ring-containing resin and polyamic acid salt on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:An oxirane ring-containing resin and polyamic acid salt are employed as the constituent materials of an ink layer. As the base material supporting the ink layer, a plastic film having relatively good heat resistance, for example, a polyester film or a polycarbonate film, cellophane or parchment paper are designated. As a colorant, a proper one can be selected from carbon black, org. pigment, inorg. pigment or a dye corresponding to a required hue to be used. Polyamic acid salt has a repeating unit represented by formula and the number average MW thereof is 2000-300000. |
