PURPOSE:To provide a piezoelectric porcelain composition with high selectivity as a low-loss type of 455kHz band, by adding Cr2O3 and/or MnO2 to a specific composition. CONSTITUTION:A composition shown by the formula (x, y and z are in a range wherein 0.440<=x<=0.525, 0.400<=y<=0.510; 0.020<=z<0.150, x+y+z=1 and a, b and c are in a range wherein when a=1, 0.1<=b<=4; 0.1<=c<=4) wherein 3-10 atomic % Pb is replaced with at least one selected from Ba, Ca and Sr is blended with 0.3-1.0wt.% Cr2O3 and/or MnO2 and burnt in an oxidative atmosphere at 1,200-1,340 deg.C for 2-6 hours to give a piezoelectric porcelain composition having >=95% relative density. |
