PURPOSE:To improve the adhesion between a substrate constituted of an ferrous alloy and deposit constituted of a wear resistant allay surface layer material formed on the surface of the substrate by a thermal spraying method. CONSTITUTION:A layer 2 constituted of a liquid phase diffusion joining material contg. B or B and Si is formed on the surface of a substrate 1 constituted of an ferrous alloy by a plating method or a thermal spraying method. Next, deposit 3 is formed by a surface layer material constituted of a high speed steel, an alloy tool steel or a wear resistant alloy such as an Ni base alloy, a Co base alloy or the like reinforced by the carbide of Mo, W, V, Cr, Ti, Ta, Nb, Zr, Co or the like by using a thermal spraying method, and then, heating is executed to a temp. at which the liquid phase diffusion joining material is isothermally solidified to form a joining layer. By the effect of the joining layer, the joinability between the substrate and the sprayed deposit improves, by which the article coated with the sprayed deposit having high adhesive strength can be obtd. |
