PURPOSE:To provide a honeycomb structure in which scoping does not occur by the dislocation of a corrugated plate and a flat plate, which is caused by repetition of alternate high and low temperature when used. CONSTITUTION:A honeycomb structure is formed by spirally winding a flat plate 31 and a waved plate 21. Projections (pin-like bodies) 210 are formed on at least one of the flat and corrugated plates for preventing dislocation of the honeycomb structure in an axial direction. Engagement parts (meshes) 310 are formed on the surface of either flat plate 31 or waved plate 21 opposed to the projections for engaging the projections. This honeycomb structure is used for capturing particulates in exhaust, combustion removal of them, and adopted to an exhaust emission control converter of a diesel engine. |
