PURPOSE:To perform zooming while always keeping more precise focusing accuracy than a prescribed accuracy without being affected by the attitude or environment of zooming in the case of performing zooming while keeping focusing by utilizing the video signal of an object. CONSTITUTION:While a magnification lens 12 is moved, a microcomputer 21 for lens control controls the moving speed of a focus competition lens 15 so as to increase/decrease the high frequency component (sharpness signal) amount of the video signal of the object. The moving speed of the focus competition lens 15 is switched based on the change of the sharpness signal. |
