PURPOSE:To obtain an accelerometer having failure diagnosis function. CONSTITUTION:The accelerometer comprises a dielectric substrate 1 on which electrode patterns 10, 12 for delivering an acceleration signal and introducing a shaking signal are formed respectively, and a circuit provided on the dielectric substrate 1 while including an acceleration signal processing means and a shaking signal output means. The electrode pattern 10 is connected with a pair of piezoelectric elements 2, 3 for detecting acceleration having opposite, directions of polarization whereas the electrode pattern 12 is connected with at least a pair of piezoelectric elements 4A,4B, 5A, 5B for shaking having opposite directions of polarization. A weight 6 for bridging the piezoelectric elements 2, 3, 4A, 4B, 5A, 5B is mounted thereon and secured in place where the weight 6 is provided with conductive parts 15, 16 for individually connecting the piezoelectric elements 2, 3(4A, 4B)(5A, 5B). |
