PURPOSE:To preferentially select and display the information seemed to be required during the traveling even when a vehicle is not traveling in a searched route by controlling the display to a display part of the map information selected by a map selecting part on the basis of the selecting condition set by a selecting condition setting part. CONSTITUTION:On the basis of the present position data obtained by a present position detecting part 16, a display control part 24 reads the road network information around the present position from a road network information memory part 17. Thereafter, a map information selecting part 23 reads the setting state of each selecting condition of a selecting condition setting part 20, and selectively reads the mark/character information from a mark/character information memory part 18. The display control part 24 generates a display signal for displaying the present position data of a vehicle obtained by the operation of the present position detecting part 16, the road network information around the present position read from the road network information memory part 17 on the basis of the present position data, and the mark/character information transmitted from the map information selecting part 23, and displays them on a display part 12. |
