<p>PURPOSE:To provide a long lasting particulate collecting performance for the filter of an exhaust gas processing device for internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust gas processing device for an internal combustion engine comprises a filter 16 to collet particulates, a heating space 15 accommodating the filter, a microwave generating means 17, a gas supplying means 26, a microwave sensing means 30 to sense the quantity of microwaves at a specified position in the heating space, a temp. sensing means 35 to sense the temp. of the gas flowing through the filter 16, a means 34 to judge if the internal combustion engine is under operation or not, a control means 33 in which the collecting amount judging map and the regenerative control variables, etc., are stored, and an informing means 42. The collecting amount can be grasped accurately through reference judgement of the collecting amount with the engine operating conditions taken into consideration on the basis of the cumulated value of the engine operating time and the sensed quantity of microwaves, and the result from gasping the collecting amount is informed so that enhancement of the convenience in determining the regeneration executing timing, and thus the regenerate processing can be maintained stably.</p> |
