PURPOSE:To improve the grinding of a warped work by obliquely positioning one or both of a start end side conveyor and a terminal side conveyor, and forming a conveyance path coinciding with the warp of the work. CONSTITUTION:When a warped work W is ground, a starting end side conveyor 20A and a terminal side conveyor 20B are tilt-displayed by a tilting mechanism to form a curved conveyance path coinciding with the curvature of the warp of the work W. The work W is carried in from the start end side conveyor 20A. The work W is shifted onto a table 11 at the grinding position into contact with a sanding belt 54 pressed by a tread pressure pad 51. The table is tilt- displaced along the curve by the force applied to the front end of the work W from the tread pressure pad 51. The pressing force to the work W from the tread pressure pad 51 is prevented from becoming excessive, and the conveyance and grinding after the curvature can be attained. |
