TRIFLUOROPROPYLTHIAZOLINE DERIVATIVE AND HERBICIDE

PURPOSE:To obtain a new derivative exhibiting remarkably strong herbicidal power on various weeds by soil treatment, soil-mixing treatment or foliar treatment and having high safety to beet which is an important crop. CONSTITUTION:This derivative(salt) is expressed by formula I. The derivative can be produced by reacting 1mol of a triazine derivative of formula II with 0.7-1.3mol of chlorosulfonyl isocyanate in a solvent such as tetrahydrofuran and reacting the product with a 2-imino-3-trifluoropropylthiazoline compound of formula III or formula IV (Z is a halogen) in the presence of a base such as triethylamine. The amount of the base is 0.5-4.0mol based on 1mol of the thiazoline compound of formula III or formula IV and the reaction temperature is -50 to +100 deg.C, preferably -40 to +30 deg.C.
