PURPOSE: To obtain a data converter having provision for addition of kinds of multimedia information and revision of conditions of the presence of real time performance flexibly at a low cost required for replacing a network without production of a large transmission delay time. CONSTITUTION: Packet communication equipments and multimedia information transmitters are directly connected by a bus transfer section 25 applying bus transfer processing to buses 15, 16, a data conversion processing section 23 applying data conversion processing between multimedia information transmitters 11-14 and packet communication equipments 3-6 with a software, and a high speed link section 2 having an interface section 24 to control data transmission reception between the buns transfer section and the data conversion processing section and to control the bus transfer section. |
