<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopping method of a fuel cell suppressing gas required in a purge process by preventing the unnecessarily long operation of a purge process. <P>SOLUTION: The stopping method of the fuel cell has a purge process S18 exhausting residual water of the fuel cell in stopping of the fuel cell, water content estimation processes S12, S20 detecting a load of the fuel cell and estimating the water content in an electrolyte membrane of the fuel cell based on the detected value, and a purge stop process S22 stopping the purge process when the detected load of the fuel cell becomes a load in which the water content is estimated as a prescribed load. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
