Evaluation method for raw data of mass spectra of analyte ions with ion currents measured at recurring intervals and stored at sequential addresses in memory, with respect to the occurrence or non-occurence of ions with known masses

The method comprises converting the known masses of the analyte ions to memory addresses of the measured raw data by using a calibration function, and thereafter investigating the raw data of the mass spectra for the presence or absence of ion current peaks only in relatively small ranges around the memory addresses corresponding to the known masses.
