The fixing rod has an end fixing section (11), a tip (13) shaped for rotating the rod, and an anchoring section (12) with spiral vanes (16) to enhance the mixing of an anchoring substance. The vanes can also have notches (17) at intervals. A variant of the design has channels running in two spiral directions in the rod's surface to form diamond-shaped projections.
