PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the service life of the battery of a selective radio calling receiver by suppressing the power consumption of the receiver at the time of making informing operations. SOLUTION: When a next call is received, a control section sends a signal indicating the reception to a measuring section 8 similarly to the preceding call. The measuring section 8 measures time by stopping a timer 7, collates the time measured result of the timer 7 with time data stored in a memory A9, and sends the signal corresponding to the collated result to the control section 11 and, at the same time, resets the timer 7 to restart. Upon receiving the signal from the measuring section 8, the control section 11 reads out the informing operation time data corresponding to the signal from a memory B10 and sets informing operation time. When the setting of the informing operation time is completed, the control section 11 performs the informing operations with the set informing operation time by driving an informing section 5. |
