FUEL CELL SEPARATOR, ITS MANUFACTURE, AND SOLID HIGH- POLYMER FUEL CELL USING SUCH SEPARATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell separator of high reliability free of problems as in to the conventional techniques, capable of retaining a strength required for a separator despite its thin wall structure and eliminating the risk of cracking or the like when fuel cell is assembled. SOLUTION: A fuel cell separator is composed at least of a binder, powder- form carbon filler having a mean particle size of 10 nm-100 μm, and short fibers having a mean fiber length of 0.03-6 mm and is formed from a base material consisting of a composition containing 200-800 pts.wt. carbon filler and 10-300 pts.wt. short fibers with respect to 100 pts.wt. binder.
