PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the image forming device to selectively add tracing information to an image containing mach pictorial information, and exert a tracing function concerning a specific image while economizing toner consumption. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a picture/character judging means 3 for judging information of picture /character in image information, a ratio judging means 5 for determining a ratio of the picture to character based on the picture/character information judged by the picture/character judging means 3, judging whether or not the character information has a specific ratio or less and the picture information has a specific ratio or more, a pattern storage means 4 to store specific patterns, and image output means 2, 6, 7, 8 which generate specific patterns stored in the pattern storage means 4 on condition that the character information has a specific ratio or less and the picture information has a specific ratio or more, and superimposing the patterns on an image expanding the image information and output them, and selectively adds tracing information to an image containing much pictorial information. |
