PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission quality evaluation system, by which a configuration of a terminal in a subscriber's home can be simplified. SOLUTION: The system 20 is provided with a receiver 21 that extracts a noise signal S23 with a prescribed frequency from a received incoming signal S0, an oscilloscope 24 that detects amplitude of the noise signal S23 and generates time base data S24 with the amplitude, and a transmission quality evaluation device 25 that generates amplitude probability density distribution data denoting an amplitude probability density distribution of the amplitude of the noise signal S23 from the time base data S24 and compares the amplitude probability density distribution data with amplitude probability density distribution data stored in advance so as to evaluate the effect of the noise on the transmission quality of the incoming signal S0.
