PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical communication system by which a time until data transmission start is shortened by simultaneously transmitting a control signal between both units. SOLUTION: A first optical transceiver 106 of a first unit is connected to a second optical transceiver of a second unit by a single-core optical fiber cable 110 and the both units mutually execute optical transmission in the optical communication system. In this case, the control signal expressing the communication state of the self unit is transmitted to the opposite unit by full duplex optical transmission and the data signal of the self unit is transmitted to the opposite unit by semi-duplex optical transmission. |
