PURPOSE: A white screen error prevention device and a method of LCD are provided to automatically sense and solve the white screen error to enhance the convenience of a user and the quality of a product. CONSTITUTION: The white screen error prevention device of LCD comprises a data line driver(20), a gate line driver(18), an interface(10), an LCD controller(14), a DC/DC converter(16), a voltage detector and an interface controller(12). The interface(10) receives horizontal/vertical synchronizing signals and data signals to output the data signals with a size suitable to a resolution and a display screen through a predetermined signal processing step. The LCD controller(14) outputs the data signals transferred from the interface to the gate driver and data driver in accordance with a predetermined timing. The DC/DC converter(16) converts a DC voltage into DC voltages of different level to respectively supply the voltages to the LCD controller, the gate driver and the data driver.
