PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for producing a plated metallic wire for a short time and at a low equipment cost by directly connecting a rolling stage to a plating stage, and to provide producing equipment therefor. SOLUTION: In producing a plated metallic wire, the gap in line speeds between a rolling stage and a plating stage is solved by rolling the metallic wire, dipping the metallic wire having a loose coil shape directly after the rolling into a plating bath as it is, taking up and cooling the wire.
