PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system capable of fetching a printing medium from a printer, after printing is ended. SOLUTION: In a printing system 1, a mail server 4 which stores an electronic mail for each mail address of a preparing person who prepares data is connected via an LAN 6, and a personal computer 2 transmits the data and the mail address of the person who is preparing the data to a printer 3 at the time of printing the data. When the printing of the received data ends, the printer 3 transmits a communication sentence, indicating the end of the printing to the mail address destination transmitted from the personal computer 2. Then, the mail server 4 stores the received communication sentence in the relevant mail address, and when the mail address is inputted from a device connected to the LAN 6, it transmits the communication sentence pertinent to the inputted mail address to the inputted mail address destination.
