PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in providing an effective prophylactic or an ameliorating means for dyschromia accompanied by inflammations or dyschromia such as ephelides. SOLUTION: This cosmetic is obtained by including an essence, preferably a fruit of Phaseolus radiatus L. of the family Leguminosae having excellent inhibitory actions on elongation of dendrites of melanocytes in a skin care preparation such as the cosmetic.
