Method of cross-paging a hybrid access terminal supporting voice service and packet data service

A method of cross-paging in mobile communication systems comprises of transmitting location information of the mobile terminal from a mobile communication system to a heterogeneous mobile communication system after the mobile terminal performs location registration, requesting the mobile communication system to page the mobile terminal according to the received information in the heterogeneous mobile communication system, generating a paging message in the mobile communication system and transmitting the generated paging message from the mobile communication system to the mobile terminal. A method of cross-paging from mobile communication systems to a mobile terminal comprises of determining whether the mobile terminal has been location-registered in the mobile communication system or in the heterogeneous mobile communication system with reference to pre-registered location information of the mobile terminal when paging request of the mobile terminal occurs in the heterogeneous mobile communication system, transmitting a cross-paging message from the the heterogeneous mobile communication system to the mobile communication system if the mobile terminal has been location-registered in the mobile communication system and transmitting a paging message to the mobile terminal in response to the cross-paging message in the mobile communication system.
