PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toe guard device capable of storing maintenance tools such as a maintenance component, a tool and a stepladder 8 used during maintenance of a control board etc. inside a hoistway pit 2 and improving the appearance of the hoistway pit 2. SOLUTION: The toe guard device is provided with a sill 5 of a landing on the lowermost floor, a side wall in the landing 4 side on the lowermost floor in the hoistway pit 2, a storage part provided on the side wall in the landing 4 side on the lowermost floor and storing the maintenance tools, and a toe guard fixed to the sill 5 of the landing of the lowermost floor so as to hide the storage part from the hoistway pit 2 side. The toe guard comprises a toe guard fixation part 13a fixed to the sill 5 of the landing on the lowermost floor and a toe guard moving part 13b journaled to the toe guard fixation part 13a and rotatable from the position for hiding the storage part from the hoistway pit 2 side to the hoistway pit 2 side.
