LAP LASER WELDING METHOD AND LASER WELDED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lap laser welding method which prevents a welding defect caused when welding the vicinity of an end face by scanning laser beams along the end face and secures welding quality and member quality in a lap welding, and also to provide a laser welded product.

SOLUTION: The lap laser welding method is used for welding a plurality of thin plates by emitting the laser beams to an area with a distance not less than 1.75 mm and below 8.00 mm from the end face along the end faces of the plurality of the lapped thin plates. Welding is carried out by using one or more of the following welding methods: stitch welding for repeatedly forming welded parts intermittent in a welding direction; an end face cooling welding for welding while cooling the end faces; and an end face press welding for welding while pressing the end faces.
