<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric device and a piezoelectric oscillator having high reliability in which an influence of thermal stress applied to a terminal for mounting is suppressed when the piezoelectric device and the piezoelectric oscillator are mounted to an external mounting substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A crystal oscillator 1 has: a quartz resonator 20 having a plurality of external terminals 25a-25d at the outer bottom part of a package 21 and in the inside of which a crystal vibration chip 40 is hermetically sealed; and a circuit substrate 10 on which connection terminals 15a-15d corresponding to the external terminals 25a-25d are formed on one surface of a wiring substrate 11, a plurality of terminals 12a-12d are formed on the other surface and an IC 30 is mounted on one surface. In addition, the quartz resonator 20 is joined on the circuit substrate 10 and connected by joining the connection terminals 15a-15d to the corresponding external terminals 25a-25d by soldering by a spherical conductor 50.
